TOMAHAWK Technique the fifth album from international recording artiste and dancehall star Sean Paul has popped up on a few major charts since its limited release in late January.
The album is the follow-up to the 2009 effort Imperial Blaze. It was released by Atlantic Records in Belgium, France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Japan, South Africa and Mexico.
According to data obtained from the iTunes website, Tomahawk Technique is currently charting on four major charts.
On the iTunes Top Ten Albums Chart in Germany, the 12- track set is currently at number eight. It holds the number six position in Austria, while in Switzerland it sits comfortably at number six.
The album's biggest success to date has been in Japan where it debuted at number one on the iTunes chart. It is currently at number 10 and number six on the overall domestic and international combined charts just a day after its release.
To date only two singles have charted from the album on the European charts. The first single Got 2 Luv U featuring American singer Alexis Jordan climbed to number one in Switzerland and hit the Top 10 in Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Norway, and Spain. It reached number 11 on the UK Pop Singles Chart.
The second single She Doesn't Mind raced to the number one spot in Switzerland and registered top 10 positions in Belgium, Austria, Luxembourg, France, Germany, and in Norway. The single also topped the Japan iTunes pop genres chart and stalled at number 15 on the iTunes domestic and international combined singles chart.
Tomahawk Technique is yet to see a stateside release. The album features collaborations with producers Stargate, Benny Blanco, DJ Ammo and Shellback. American singer and former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland appears on the track How Deep is Your Love.
