KINGSTON (Gleaner)The drug trial of embattled dancehall entertainer Vybz Kartel was put off today to March 14, when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.
Kartel is facing the charge of illegal possession of marijuana.
Kartel was also offered $40,000 bail but he could not take it up because of other charges.
The police said they held Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, and others in a hotel room in New Kingston last September.
The police said a quantity of ganja was found in the room.
Kartel is also before the courts on other charges including murder and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
