Twins of Twins still bickering ..re sting 2011 defeat

KINGSTON(Star): Dancehall artistes Twin of Twins are at it again. The deejays have released a single, Lucky Boy, in which they claim Tony Matterhorn fears them and only won the December Sting clash by default.

In a section of the song which raises questions about Tony Matterhorn's victory, the Twins claim;

"Sickness is a thing though what a lucky bwoy,

It's either, the bwoy touch the monkey or the monkey touch di bwoy.

When mi think about the Jam World situation

and reflect pon Dudus and the extradition,

it only come down to one conclusion,

Bruce Golding shudda know Matterhorn obeah man."

When THE STAR spoke with Patrick Gaynor, one of the members of the duo, he described the song as a commentary, which delves into their experience at Sting and the reality behind the outcome.

"Matterhorn still fears us. His fear has gone nowhere and I don't think he would really want a rematch. Our fans know our capability and that the showing at Sting wasn't really us," he said.

According to the artiste, there are no lyrical lines that are memorable from Matterhorn's performance, and can be said to have been used to win the clash.

"If yu ask anybody which line Materhorn use kill wi a Sting dem cyaah tell yu. So no clash took place," Patrick said.

He said that Lucky Boy was written immediately after Sting, however he was too sick to record it straight after the show.

He also said that the song was performed at Barrington, Levy's stage show which was recently staged and the response was overwhelming.

"The response overall has been very good and overwhelming. It's good to see that we have intelligent fans who appreciate the content. Globally, the response is good, Canada is even crazy, only on local radio station we don't hear it much, and mi a sey how dat!," he said.

Patrick said that the mere fact that Tony Matterhorn has not also done a song following Sting and proclaiming victory is testament that he does not feel he won credibly.

"He hasn't done a song about his victory because him know sey him just get lucky. A victory is a victory regardless but he is not confident that him win," he said.
