Chronixx first brush with Trouble

It has been reported that the new reggae sensation Chronixx has his first taste of trouble. In a recent star report it was indicated that hee promoters of 'Chronixx and the Zinc Fence Band' concert in Hartford, Connecticut, are now seeking legal redress from the artiste.

According to the promoters (Bigga Yard, DNZ Productions and Billionare Ent), after postponing the event until June, they were informed via email that the artiste would still be unable to honour his commitment to perform at the West Indian Social Club of Hartford, Connecticut, on Sunday, June 9.

The promoters further stated that in order to facilitate Chronixx on the new date, they had printed new materials and bought more ad spaces.

"Chronixx's management approached us about staging this event; we poured our hearts and time into promoting not only the event but the artiste. We received nothing but unprofessional conduct, from taking a month to receive advertisement vocals to this latest unfortunate series of events," the release read.

Promoter Nikki Z said that she was disappointed with the cancellation.

"It's very disappointing when artistes have so little care for their craft. It's a job and a business and people are affected by it. Several persons had to change their flights because they wanted to see him perform. He didn't show for Best of the Best and people were also upset," Nikki Z said.

She also added that the artiste's management team did not even have the courtesy to telephone her about the cancellation.

"It's not something to be taken lightly. If you are dragging your feet with the issue of filing travel documents, then they need to know that there are consequences. We have never put on a show and had something like this happen. This is his first impression on the US, and your first impression is a bad one. It's ridiculous, it should not have happened," Nikki Z said.

When contacted, Chronixx's management team stated that the cancellation was as a result of delays in obtaining a work permit.

"We would like to apologise to all the fans, promoters and media outlets that support the Chronixx movement for our inability to fulfil these commitments. Due to work permit delays, we are disheartened to learn we must postpone Chronixx and the Zinc Fence band's first-ever US tour. As an independent entity, we did everything possible to solve the situation with the US embassy but, unfortunately, we couldn't get the work permit for Chronixx and the Zinc Fence band delivered on time to make this tour possible.

"We have been in constant dialogue with the promoters of the events Chronixx and Zinc Fence were booked for. We appreciate the understanding and support we have been receiving from both promoters and fans and we look forward to coming to 'Start a Fyah' with them in the near future."
