Tommy Lee Sparta Flopped the worse way ever

It was recently reported in a news media that ....For Tommy Lee Sparta concert, It may not have been exactly what he expected when he agreed to perform in Trinidad on March 24. In fact, it may have been a bit of a shock to even the event's promoters and the younger party lovers who seemed to have embraced the 'Psycho' vocalist for the better part of the past year or so- this of course when the reality sunk in on show night at Guarracarra Park, South Trinidad, that the crowds would never arrive.

Tommy Lee Sparta- known by his fans as Uncle Demon arrived in T&T on Friday. He made the rounds with the event's promoters to the urban frequencies, however we understand that he was not welcomed at one particular station. At 94.1FM, he was interviewed and responded to questions about the branding of his persona as a demonic character. He said it was just a character. Showing off his numerous tattoos, the entertainer was photographed at the station with a headdress covering his head. ETCETERABUZZ.COM was told that he did not remove the head covering at any time during his stay at the station. In fact, we understand that he even covered his mouth as he spoke with announcer, Jahmoun Mendoza. Pretty strange. Nevertheless, he had arrived in Soca territory to perform at a concert event at the Southern arena. His songs, described as gothic dancehall have been controversially acclaimed across the Caribbean. In Jamaica, much like in Trinidad, the younger audience have gravitated to the persona of Tommy Lee Sparta- chanting the words to songs like 'Some Bwoy', 'Psycho' ,'Buss A Blank', 'We Want Paper' among others. With that, the Trinidadian promoters obviously felt they would receive a good turn out to the Southern end of the country this past Saturday. That thought however, would prove to be a wasted one.

Jamaican dancehall artiste, Tommy Lee

According to reports, the venue was bare on show night with merely a few patrons showing up to see the Flankers, Jamaica native. Online, photos taken showed an empty venue. It is reported that the artiste did not perform. Today, views poured in online. Many attested to being happy that Trinidad and Tobago nationals refused to be in the presence of the artiste who refers to himself as 'Uncle Demon'. They relayed feelings indicating that T&T has too many praying souls to be infected by the words of this particular Jamaican artiste. Still, there remained others who commented in support of the young PG13 label head. Despite the tit for tat comments however, one thing is relevant to the situation and that is the fact that Tommy Lee Sparta did not receive a warm welcome on what was his first visit to Trinidad and Tobago. Whatever the reason, we'll let you be the judge, but one thing we're certain of and that's the fact that the 'buss concert' wasn't such a good look for the new 'big thing' out of JA. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how that augurs for his ongoing musical career.

Tommy Lee Sparta meanwhile has been nominated for the 2013 International Reggae and Music Awards in the categories of Best Male Disc Jockey/Rapper and Best New Entertainer.

Popcaan attacks Chronixx

According to media reports young dancehall star Popcaan - the man that loves Vybz Kartel the most is taking some swipes at new reggae sensation chronixx.
It could be seen a mile away when chronixx make mention of some lines that Popcaan made popular. Like "Party buck" among others.

Now this -

With the recent release of Popcaan's latest single titled Killa From Mi Born on the Milla 9 imprint, persons have begun speculating that a section of the song is a subliminal diss to fast-rising star Chronixx.

During the introduction of his song, Popcaan deejays:

"Not nice last time mi check 'Courage' mean brave/Yow miller chu some ... hear man seh di party buck dem tink seh we party nuff / Not even Selassie or Jesus cyah save dem when di ... 40 buss / Bwoy drop pon di grung and cyah git up...."

Many are alleging that this is a retaliation at Chronixx due, in part, to utterances he made in the now popular Odd Ras song with the lines, "mi nah sing bout nuh party buck and mi nuh show mi underpants fi buss."

When contacted, Chronixx's manager Zion told THE STAR that while they have not heard Popcaan's latest song, Odd Ras was not aimed at the artiste.

general concern

"It was not aimed at anybody, it was just a general concern. Chronixx is not trying to tell anybody how to live their lives, it's just his opinion and it was not aimed at anybody."

In the song, Popcaan also takes a lyrical shot at his nemesis Black Ryno. The two were involved in a physical altercation at the 2012 staging of Sting, which resulted in Ryno being pushed off stage.

Efforts to contact Popcaan for a comment were, however, unsuccessful.

vYBZ kARTEL SAYS HE IS NOT GUILTY

Vybz Kartel Blast Police In New Letter From Jail Cell
Having been incarcerated for nearly 17 months on murder and conspiracy charges, Adidja ‘Vybz Kartel’ Palmer has unleashed his fury on Jamaican police forces in a new letter from prison, alleging they have done everything imaginable to keep him behind bars.

The five-page handwritten letter, publicized via Kartel’s official Twitter page on Wednesday, outlines accusations by the embattled deejay that police have concocted lies, threats and evidence in order to smear his reputation prevent him from achieving bail.

Titled, This is Adidja Palmer stating the facts, the controversial entertainer holds nothing back.

“In 2011, I was charged for murder by way of a statement which indicated that I had ordered Lenburgh McDonald to murder Barrington ‘Bossie’ Burton. Weeks later, said witness gave a statement to the Public Defender saying that he was physically assaulted and threatened by the police to say that I was involved in ‘Bossie’ Burton’s death. Days later, he gave another statement to the Public Defender saying that since he recanted the first statement, he has been getting death threats via calls to his phone.”

“Days after my first murder charge, I was charged with another murder (Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams). In this case, the police (by way of a Senior Superintendent who was later charged with “attempting to pervert the course of justice” in a separate incident) campaigned every Monday morning on a certain TV station claiming they had DNA evidence, which came back 7 months later as negative. They also led the public to believe that they had video tape of me and my co-accused murdering Williams. I would like to add that the police made a lot of damaging remarks against me. A most notable one would be “since his arrest, the community is a safer place.”

Kartel also reacted to a police report that claimed law enforcement officials found three cellphones in a search of his jail cell on Jan. 22. As a result of this report, which the deejay insists was a lie, he was denied bail in the Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams case just days later.

“On Saturday, February 16th, 2013, my lawyer Ms. Valrie Neita Robertson showed me a document produced in a bail hearing by the prosecutor signed by a high-ranking member of the J.C.F which states that three cell phones were found in my cell during a search on January 22nd, 2013. My bail was denied based mainly on this blatant lie by the Jamaican police,” he said.

“I would very much like the public and the world at large to read this letter impartially and unbiased and I am demanding that INDECOM, human rights organizations and the powers that be investigate the events that took place on the mornings of November 4th, 2011 and January 22nd, 2013. I have been in custody since the 30th September 2011.”

“P.S. I have written to INDECOM twice, one letter was delivered by my common law wife in early February and one by attorney-at-law Miguel Lorne on or about February 20th, both in 2013, and whilst the true record of the search as it relates to “what was found where” is at the Horizon Remand Centre, I doubt I will get the same equitable outcome at the Gun Court Remand Centre because only their fellow officers (police) work there.”

“Everything as it relates to my case is a fabrication, everything is fabricated. Don’t know whose corn I may have stepped on in the past but it is now coming back to haunt me.”

The deejay is scheduled to return to court on May 27 to begin the Williams trial, which has been postponed twice since its initial start date of Nov. 5, 2012.

Tommy Lee SHOOKED by Canadian Authorities

Dancehall artiste Tommy Lee Sparta was reportedly forced to put on hold his Shook tour of Canada after he was denied a visa.
It is said that Heavy D, a member of Tommy Lee’s managing team, tells sources that it is an unfortunate mistake and that an error was made by the agency on one of the forms submitted.
It is understood that all tickets were purchased for the artiste and his entourage to travel to Canada. However, after an interview last Thursday with the Canadian High Commission in Kingston, Tommy Lee’s application for a visa was reportedly denied.
It is said that promoters were subsequently forced to cancel their events which Tommy Lee Sparta was expected to headline.
Following reports, Tommy Lee’s Shook Tour of Canada had been reportedly plagued with delays, as on January 24, the tour was postponed due to an alleged health issue which the artiste was suffering from. The artiste’s management claimed doctors had ordered him to rest and refrain from flying for a week, to which the tour was then rescheduled for February 22.
