Sting 2014 Bopped to an End
The clash between Ryno and Kiprich never got off the ground as it should as things went not how it was intended. It was reported that Ryno grabbed the mic from Kiprich and thats when the plug was pulled. Kiprich was realing out tunes after tunes even about Ryno's $3 million he won last year... and with Ryno desperately trying to get a song in..tried to no avail.. he then ripped the Mic from Kiprich in desperation.
Earlier the likes of Gully Bop got a good crowd response, Ishawna, Teflon and some early female clashing went down well with the crowd.

Bounty Killer and Beenie Man Sings together
One has to remember that these guys have been fighting for that past 20 years. This fighting has been lost in this day and age of konshens, i-octane, kalado, Alkablind etc...
Beenie man has almost always remained current... but not so over the last 2 years or so whilst bounty killer has found a hit once every 6 years or so,,, some say he dont need to have a hit because his catalogue is deep and wide enough like Beenie Mans.. and i agree.
Beenie and Bounty should be living off concerts and rights to their songs right now. To still be recording can be seen as a sign of desperation and fear of being seen as done and washed up artises. These guys had enough time to build their production company and venture into other means of living. ... now if you going to make songs being the G.O.A.T that they are .. make it good and make it a HIT..

VYbz Kartel ,,, said scammer and ZJ wah wah ..in the same tune
In that song reference made to ZJ wah wah and the scamming business. I was trying to make the connection... as the line goes .. "trick a gyal fuk a gyal scyammer businizz Zj wah wah hammer business"",,,.
Im not sure if Kartel was aware that Wah Wah was involved in mattters of this nature and thus the sublte reference in the song. If its just a coincidence then .. bad omen ?
And things are not looking of the ZJ as it was recently reported in the press that the JAMAICAN disc jock ZJ Wah Wa, who was arrested in Florida on wire fraud and money laundering charges earlier this month, will be tried in a North Dakota court.
The disc jock (given name Deon-ville O'Hara) was ordered transferred to that state when he appeared in court Tuesday.
It is, however, unclear where he is being held.
Keith Reisenauer, assistant attorney in the United States Attorney's Office for the District of North Dakota, confirmed the transfer, but had no records on the disc jock's whereabouts.
"We have no information on where he's being held," Reisenauer told the Jamaica Observer yesterday.
"The US Marshals have him in their custody... and no date has yet been set for his court appearance," was all he disclosed.
The disc jock, who is employed to Zip 103 FM, was arrested by US law enforcement authorities during a visit to Florida. It is alleged he helped run a lottery scam in Jamaica that induced American victims to send millions of dollars for 'lottery winnings'.
Once the parties were duped, it is alleged ZJ Wah Wa travelled to the US and picked up money from the victims.
He is charged on three counts, including conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, and money laundering. Each count carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison.
Herman F Rubio Jr, the Florida attorney who represented ZJ Wah Wa, specialises in drug trafficking, money laundering and securities fraud. He said he will be represented by a new attorney 'up north'.
D'Adra Williams, ZIP 103 FM's station manager, issued a statement on the company's position yesterday.
"We will allow the due process of the law to take place, where persons are given the benefit of the doubt and presumed innocent until proven guilty. Our employees will be extended the same courtesy," the statement read.
The Associated Press reported that the victims are an 83-year-old North Dakota woman who sent seven cheques amounting to US$158,000 after being promised US$19 million in winnings; and a South Dakota man who sent a US$14,000 cheque after being promised US$3.5 million and a Mercedes-Benz.
In response to complaints from the American government, the Jamaican government set up a lottery scam task force in 2009 to stamp out the illegal activity.

Vybz Kartel Gaza Empire ... still not dead... there is more?
Two of the latest adherents to the Gaza legacy are Gaza Nana and Stamma Gramma.
"At the end of the day, we a Gaza from birth and Vybz Kartel along with fellow ex-members of the Gaza inspire us to do music in di fus place hombre. Many people waa see Kartel fall, and they get wha them wish fah, but we a go mek sure his legacy and what he started don't end wid his downfall," Gaza Nana, whose real name is Jamarlie Guthrie, said.
Gaza Nana, 21, was raised in Portmore, but hails from Irish Pen, St Catherine. He is known for songs such as Tick Tock, Wine Up Fimi and an Alkaline diss song that is huge in Spanish Town.
For his part, Stamma Gramma, who first came to public attention last year in a feud with Tommy Lee Sparta over a song called Scammer Anthem, is enthusiastic about the GNG.
"This is not about me nor my story, this is about preserving one of the most successful legacies in dancehall music, the Gaza, and who better to do it than the loyal fans and associates of the Gaza. I do hope we receive Worl' Boss's blessing," Stamma Gramma, whose real name is Michael Williams, said.
Stamma Gramma operates popular dancehall fan pages on Facebook including Gaza Fans Only and Dancehall Worldwide, alongside one of Gaza Next Generation members Gaza Leeha. The 22 year-old was raised in Tavern, Papine and hails from New York, United States where he is president of Gtunez, one of the fastest developing companies ever to make its debut in the dancehall music industry scene. "Gaza Nana met Vybz Kartel while performing at a show in Dela Splash in 2008, while I met Vybz Kartel and Shawn Storm in 2008 at Portmore Empire All Schools Jamboree, where Shawn Storm introduced me as as one of the future members of Gaza, then named Portmore Empire," Stamma Gramma said.
The GNG is a bit of a rogue organisation as it was never brought to the attention of Vybz Kartel, nor did they attempt to ask for his approval.
"We will only cease and desist with the idea if Vybz Kartel condemns the plan publicly," Stamma Gramma said.
Other members of the newly formed Gaza Next Generation include MoBay-based artiste Gaza Leeha, New York-based artiste Lala Pinkdoll and Spanish Town-based Talex Daynjah, Don Dappa and Wycked Haat.
Stamma Gramma also added that an open invitation will always be open to Gage, Likkle Danjah and "Vybz Kartel's children as they are the natural heir to the Worl' Boss' throne".
Vybz Kartel appeal May Take 5 Years
The self proclaim Worl’Boss, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, Shawn “Storm” Campbell, Kahira Jones, Andre St John are all serving a life sentences in a maximum security prison after being convicted of the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams on March 13.
Kartel and his three co-convicts have since filed paperwork appealing the conviction on the grounds that they received an unfair trial.
But law enforcement sources told news media that the appeal process in Jamaica could take up to five years due to a huge backlog of cases.
“Currently the Appeal Court is seeing cases that were filed up to five or more years ago,” the source said. “So it could be a number of years before Vybz Kartel get a decision on his appeal. In the meantime he will continue to serve his sentencing until such time arrive.”
Vybz Kartel will become eligible for parole in 35 years when he is 73 years old.
Kartel says he will not be making music behind bars despite a plea from his fans to continue to record.
Mavado calls Bounty Killa Music Garbage
Mavado bashed Bounty Killa calling the tracks garbage.
Bounty Killa has released a few songs the latest includes “A Who” and “Death Work” both labeled Mavado diss.
Bounty Killa is credited for breaking Mavado on the dancehall scene through his Alliance squad.
Since Mavado signed the dotted lines with Miami born hip-hop rapper and disc jock Dj Khaled’s “We The Best” music group, many questioned the singjay’s loyalty.
This led to the release of a track dubbed “Real Talk” by entertainer Busy Signal in which he questions Mavado’s loyalty warning the singjay not be ungrateful.

VYBZ KARTEL AKA ADDIJAH PALMER GUILTY
The eleven-member jury began deliberating at 3:45 p.m.
Initially, the eleven-member jury deliberated for 1 hour and 53 minutes before returning a 10-1 verdict.
They were sent back to reconsider because the verdict was not unanimous and was reached under two hours.
The jurors then went back to consider the matter before again returning to the courtroom.
Adidja Palmer – GUILTY
Shawn Campbell – GUILTY
Kahira Jones – GUILTY
Shane Williams – Not GUILTY
Andre St John – GUILTY
The convicts are to be sentenced on March 27.
Kartel, 38, whose real name is Adidja Palmer and his co-accused went on trial on November 20 in the Home Circuit Court.
They had been in custody since September 2011.
They were charged with the murder of 27-year-old Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams, of Waterford, St Catherine.
The Crown represented by senior deputy director of public prosecutions, Jeremy Taylor, and Crown Counsel Leighton Morris alleged that on August 16, 2011 ‘Lizard’ was beaten to death at Kartel's house at 7 Swallowfield Avenue, Havendale, St Andrew over two missing guns.
SEE: THE KARTEL TIMELINE - How the trial unfolded
The prosecution relied on circumstantial evidence and common design to prove its case against the men.
Those found guilty are to return to court for sentencing on March 27.
Kartel and five other men had been charged with William’s murder, but at the start of the trial in November last year, the fifth co-accused, fashion designer, Calvin Haye, was freed after the Crown offered no evidence against him.

Mavado dissing Bounty Killer the Ground God?
In this recent track called "Pon di Gully" by Mavado speculations are that there is a subliminal diss in that track directed at Bounty Killer the Ground God. Its obvious there is a diss for Flexx who rise from the grime of the gully with Mavado - so when mavado says they are saying that they are cussing about his style flow and that he made it big because of them.... he is perhaps directing his venom at Flexx. But as for the line about the people in the dancehall don't want to see a next "God"... and that he is the leader of the new school and some of them should go a and look a next job - this is where some make the connection to Bounty Killer the Ground God. Mavado should be the only God in dancehall and Bounty Killer should find another means of making living.. perhaps the figuree bizznizz... idk rasta

Vybz Kartel verdict coming soon
The lawyer for accused murderer Adidja 'Vybz Kartel' Palmer has told a Home Circuit Court jury that the defense has left the State's case against his client naked and exposed as a conspiratorial lie.
Tom Tavares-Finson made the comment while making his closing arguments to the 11-member jury in the murder case involving Kartel and his four co-accused.
The defense closed its case this morning, paving the way for addresses to be made to the jury.
Tavares-Finson told the jury that the prosecution, in trying to prove its case, brought a number of witnesses masquerading in robes of the Constitution and in the authoritative robe of the Director of Public Prosecution.
He said the prosecution had said their witnesses would have been ones of truth and bring evidence to convince them of the role of the accused in the case.
However, the lawyer said through cross-examination, the defense has ripped the robes to threads, leaving the prosecution's case naked and exposed as a conspiratorial lie.
Tavares-Finson said the prosecution's case has also been left dressed in incompetence.
He pointed to the missing original copy of the main witness' statement to the police and a compact disc containing original evidence.
He also highlighted the notebook lost by Senior Superintendent of police Cornwall 'Bigga' Ford.
He told the jurors that they have been left to judge a case tampered and discredited by the prosecution's dishonesty and incompetence.
Yesterday morning, Tavares-Finson complained that the defense was served with some documents overnight.
One of the documents was a report from handwriting experts William Smiley and George Dixon.
The lawyer said the defense was not told about the second expert and that it was a serious breach of the protocol of disclosure and prosecutorial misconduct.
He asked the presiding judge, Justice Lennox Campbell to sanction the prosecution.
The Crown is alleging that Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer; entertainer Shawn Campbell, popularly known as Shawn Storm; André St John; Shane Williams; and Kahira Jones, murdered Clive 'Lizard' Williams on August 16, 2011.
All the defendants have given unsworn testimony declaring their innocence.

Vybz Kartel House stink of Dead Body... house smelled like dead animal
He said he noticed the smell when he visited the house on August 29, 2011.
Deputy Superintendent of police Vern Thompson, the man in charge of criminal investigations for the St Andrew North Police Division, testified also that the house was set on fire after his first visit on August 22, 2011, as part of a probe.
He said that the caution tape that he strung around the perimeter of the property was also torn down. The tape was replaced, Thompson said.
Additionally, Thompson, who was being led in his examination-in chief by senior prosecutor Jeremy Taylor, told the court that on a subsequent visit to the house on September 30 he noticed that the back of the house had been demolished and the police tape again torn down
Police believe Williams was killed on August 16, 2011.
Kartel and co-accused, fellow entertainer Shawn Campbell, popularly known as Shawn Storm, André St John, Shane Williams and Kahira Jones are on trial for the murder.

Vybz Kartel phone used while he was locked up
Detective Sergeant Patrick Linton, the former Head of the Cybercrimes unit, was questioned at length this afternoon as to how a cellphone attributed to entertainer Vybz Kartel was used to make several calls when it was locked up for safe-keeping in his locker.
In response to defence lawyers Tom Tavares-Finson and Pierre Rogers, Linton said he had no explanation for that.
The policeman said the key was put on top of the locker and he did not take it home with him.
He said when he received the phones on October 3, 2011 from the Flying Squad, he did not access them until the 14th.
The lawyers suggested to the witness that the Blackberry phone was used on October 19 to make several calls.
The lawyers also suggested that the integrity of the phone has been compromised.
Linton said he could not say if it has been compromised and agreed that the phone was put in the locker for safe-keeping.
Tavares-Finson also suggested to the witness that phone messages referring to Kartel as a 'flight risk were put in when a bail application was being made for the entertainer.
Linton denied that suggestion.
He said all that happened was that the investigating officer had asked him to write a forensic report in relation to information from the BlackBerry messages.
It was then suggested that Linton had put in those messages to oppose the bail application.
However, Linton said his request was based on what was relevant to the court.
Rogers then suggested to the witness that he was a trickster but Linton said no.
Linton later agreed that calls were made from the cellphone while it was in his custody.
The lawyers then indicated that if the evidence that the phone was used was not brought out by the defence he would not have brought it out.
Linton responded by saying that his analysis was to extract data relevant to the case.
However, he said he had not reported the unauthorised use of the phone to his superiors.
Linton also denied the suggestion that he was setting up his colleagues for attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Kartel, fellow entertainer Shawn Campbell also known as 'Shawn Storm', Kahira Jones, Shane Williams and Andre St John are on trial in the Home Circuit Court for the August 16, 2011 murder of Clive 'Lizard' Williams.
Williams was allegedly killed in relation to two missing guns.

Video Evidence starts in Vybz Kartel Case
KINGSTON, Jamaica:
A police sergeant has testified at the Vybz Kartel murder trial to seeing a man with a pick-axe stick in a phone video confiscated in the investigation of Clive 'Lizard' Williams' killing.
The prosecution is alleging that Williams was beaten and killed at the Havendale, St Andrew house of the entertainer on August 16, 2011 over two missing guns.
Yesterday, the prosecution tendered into evidence four mobile phones, an iPhone and three BlackBerry devices.
They were submitted by Detective Sergeant Patrick Linton, who was formerly attached to the Cybercrime Unit of the police force.
Linton told the court he received the cell phones from a Detective Corporal Albert Pitt from the Police Flying Squad on October 3, 2011.
This morning, the policeman said, on October 22, 2011, he retrieved a BlackBerry phone and used his device to power the instrument.
He told the court that he extracted data into his forensic work station.
Sergeant Linton said the data extracted contained video and audio files, photographic images, textual data, documents and other files.
He said in one of the videos, he saw several persons.
He said one of the persons was a light-skinned man, with his right forearm showing a tattoo titled 'boss'.
He said the word was clearly visible with bright colour red ink.
He also said he saw a man holding a pick-axe stick.
The trial of Kartel and four others is continuing in the Home Circuit Court in downtown, Kingston.

BiSexual Dancehall Personality Revealed
Shuzzr "the mix fish" on the left with Tifa on the right |
Rickardo 'Shuzzr' Smith recently came to the fore with his sexuality.
"I Rickardo Smith, more popularly known as Shuzzr, has been a victim, is still a victim of discrimination because of my sexual orientation. I refuse to let my life be subjected to the old colonial thought. I must embrace a new era where all men are equal irrespective of their beliefs, lifestyle and choices," said the publicist, who has worked with persons such as Gaza Kim, Blak Ryno, Patexx, Teflon, Morgan Heritage, RDX and Lisa Hyper.
He noted that at the close of 2013 he decided to "confront his inner demons."
"Years ago, I pledged to serve the ultimate master of all. Though it's been challenging, it found me straying away from his will as I understood it. I was compelled to reflect on the life I've lived and continue to live and the choices I've made. I was living a life that men deemed abominable, while others like me saw it as a blessing only few will ever be able to experience," he said.
He continued, "Whilst it was not an exemplary life at times, I felt closer to my Creator than I could ever be, and though some moments found me on my knees crying, struggling, I asked for help and it was given. God's mercy continued despite not fulfilling my end of the deal. "
'God's mercy, as Smith puts it, did not make it any easier to work within dancehall.
"Over the last three years, I've represented several dancehall heavyweights with distinct pleasure and humility, but, while doing so, I was subjected to the torture that the industry is historically known to carry," he said.
"Dancehall has always stood firm in its belief against homosexuality. As a practitioner within the industry, I have had to endure the blatant hypocritical stance over the years, but if I'm to ever be who I truly am, and be truly comfortable with myself, in my soul, I must take a stance and speak against injustice, hate lyrics, discrimination, and anything that may seek to reduce the life of one and their beliefs."
anti-homosexual stance
And, although there is still a general anti-homosexual stance in the dancehall industry, Smith says he still wants to work in the industry.
"I'm still a publicist and I hope dancehall artistes would still engage me, but, so far, I represent no one since the start of the year," he told THE STAR, noting that he is currently working as a freelance journalist.
"I've managed to build a brand and reputation, irrespective of my sexual orientation. There will always be backlash, but I'm embracing a dancehall culture where we all can have our stance and beliefs and still coexist. Judge me by my work not my sexuality."
And shortly after opening up about his sexuality, Smith also sent out a statement in which he said dancehall artiste Sizzla should have been dropped off the Grammy nomination list for the 'Best Reggae Album' category.
"In lieu of the Grammy reggae album nominations and Sizzla's performance at the recent staging of Sting, one would expect that the organisers of the most recognised entertainment award show worldwide would seek to distance themselves from the act and his pronouncements," he said in a press release.
"One cannot ignore Sizzla's contribution to the industry. However, we can't turn a blind eye to his prolonged negativity and the injustice his fellow gay Jamaicans face daily. The reggae industry over the years has produced a reservoir of talent from which such accolades would be more fitting of. Any artiste who continues in this day and age to promote homophobic lyrics and receives international recognition only helps to deter the fight for equality, justice, and freedom for all irrespective of their beliefs and sexual orientation."

Vybz Kartel Trial may be Derailed - Reports
News source says while the murder case was on break over the Christmas period, the purported juror attended the lawyer's office.
However, it is reported that the lawyer declined to have any discussion with the person.
If it turns out that a juror had in fact sought to speak with the defence lawyer, there could be implications for the trial.
There's reportedly to be an investigation into the incident and Samuels says this is necessary to determine whether any damage had been done to the case.
Samuels says given how advanced the trial is he is hoping it will be found to have been an innocent encounter and the jury will not be dismissed.
When the trial resumed this morning, the jurors and the media were again barred as lawyers made submissions to the judge in relation to the in-camera hearing.
Before the matter was adjourned for the Christmas break, the jurors were asked to stay home because of the sensitive nature of the evidence being given by a cyber crime expert.
They are now expected to return to court tomorrow.
Kartel whose real name is Adidja Palmer and four other men are on trial in relation to the murder of Clive 'Lizard' Williams.
